Date
Date palm is a plant native to the Asian continent, although it is also possible to find it in a sinister way in large areas of northern and central Africa.
At present it is possible to find cults in different countries, since it prefers warm lands, such as Colombia and the United States.
In the past, Iraq and Iran were the greatest cultivators of this plant.  It is a woody-stemmed palm that reads up to 30 meters high.  Its glaucous, paripinnate and petiolate leaves are grouped in a terminal cluster, in addition they are pristine of a rigid and lanceolate leaflet that achieves 40 cm in length.
Their flowers have been arranged in spikes on a fleshy axis, they are usually very small and yellowish, while their fruit is a small drupe about 4 cm long.
The dates are arranged in clusters of up to 200 fruits.  Benefits of the Date The dates have pectoral and discreetly laxative qualities, which is why it is frequently used in cases of constipation and respiratory tract conditions, such as dry cough, colds or bronchitis.
The flowers have a bitter taste, but in ancient times the infusion of these was used as a purgative.  Benefits to the respiratory, digestive and endocrine.
