Coffee
The coffee tree is a tropical evergreen shrub of a height that can reach up to 10 m for trees in the wild and about 3 m for cultivated varieties.
Although the species to which the coffee tree belongs covers 500 genera and 8,000 species, only 10 of them are currently cultivated, those belonging to the Coffea family, native to Asia and Africa.
The origin of the currently cultivated species is attributed to Abyssinia, today the Republic of Ethiopia, was later introduced into Europe by the Arabs.  The term coffee comes from the Arabic kahwah.
